Dog Training

Board and Train Services are now available at Critter Camp!

Introducing the Remote Collar Training Program!

Remote collar training is designed to give your dog the foundation skills needed for a happy, well-adjusted companion, that will pay off for years to come.

This program is perfect for anyone who wants to come back from vacation, a business trip or just wants to be reunited with a more well-behaved dog.

Foundation Training

The foundation work is the most important step in training your companion with a remote collar.  This work teaches the dog that stimulation has a meaning and can be controlled.  As your dog learns to pay attention to you, he or she will be better at ignoring distraction and build the bond between you and your dog.

Loose Lead Walking:  Dog learns to walk nicely by your side

The Off Command:  For dogs that jump up on people

The Recall (Come) Command:  Teaches your dog to come when called

The Place Command:  The “place” command is an excellent way to teach your dog to stay in one location

The Sit Command:  Sit teaches the dog to keep his butt on the ground and remain that way until you give the release command

The Down Command:  Teaches your dog to lay down and remain that way until you give the release command

Our Board and Train Service includes all supplies:

* E-Collar

* 10-14 Days of Boarding

* Plenty of Exercise

* Bath

* Training for the Owner

* Follow Up Support

10 day training:  $670.00

Meet Oreo!

Oreo was a stray dog living around a US Base in Afghanistan.  To save her life, a caring US soldier sent her to live in the States.  Now that she’s settled here in Iowa, Oreo is preparing to share her caring and loving personality with those who are in need.  It will be her “Thank You” to those who helped her, she will “pay it forward”.  Oreo participated in our Board and Train program to learn proper manners while she attends events or visits with people.
